In 2022, Chongqing Creation Vocational College (CCVC) undertook the Chongqing Mayor’s Scholarship Silk Road Project-China-Cambodia cross-border digital trade training project. To ensure the high quality of the training tasks, our school actively used multiple resources, coordinated the relationships among the parties, and successfully completed the training tasks.

I. Active and successful transnational coordination to complete the preparatory work.

The school held several coordination meetings with Choy Reach, the Cambodian liaison officer and administrative assistant of the Cambodian National Committee for Asia-Pacific Economic and Social Affairs, to communicate on the timing of the training, the content of the training, the training platform, and the number of trainees. After several rounds of evaluation and screening, 25 participants were finally identified.

II. Coordinated use of multiple resources to smoothly carry out the training task

On July 18, 2022, the online training officially opened. On the day of the opening ceremony, the Chinese representatives attending the opening ceremony were Jiang Yan, Vice Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, PI Shengqin, Vice Director of High-tech Zone of Yongchuan, Chongqing, Dong Gang, Secretary of the CPC of CCVC Committee, and He Xian, Executive Director of CCVC. The Cambodian side was represented by Korm Ribaun, Secretary-General of the Cambodian National Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and 25 participants.

Our school hired senior managers of Chongqing Ziyin Digital Technology Company engaged in cross-border digital trade and professors of cross-border trade as training instructors, used eBay, TICTOK, AliExpress and other cross-border trade platforms, and purchased the resources of Zhihuishu and Chaoxing online course platforms, to ensure the completion of high-quality training tasks. The focus of this training is “Ebay E-commerce Platform Practical Operation”, “TIKTOK Business Model” and so on. Diversified learning resources, real-world operational platforms, and the skills taught by mentors can be targeted to improve the skill level of participants engaged in cross-border trade.

III. Rich and practical training resources received high praise from the trainnes

1. High training participation rate: In this training, the experts and professors explained the profound and simple, teaching language was lively and interesting, and the content was prominent and closely related to the forefront of technology. Thus, trainees responded well, with participation rates exceeding 95 percent.

2. 2. Fruitful training results: After the online training, according to the training content, combined with their own specific work, trainees would wrote and submitted a course paper with insight.

The successful holding and successful conclusion of the China-Cambodia cross-border digital trade is a concrete manifestation of the deepening development of China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and plays a positive role in promoting Chinese technology and Chinese culture to go global, promoting the implementation of “Chinese + skills” along the Belt and Road, and promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative.
