At 10:30 am on July 18, 2022, the opening ceremony of the training program for mid-senior management personnel between China-Cambodia cross-border e-commerce hosted by Chongqing Creation Vocational College (CCVC) was held. Due to the epidemic, representatives from China and Cambodia attended the opening ceremony online.

Chinese representatives attending the opening ceremony included Jiang Yan, Vice Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, Pi Shengqin, Vice Director of High-tech Zone of Yongchuan, Chongqing, Dong Gang, Secretary of the CPC of CCVC Committee, and He Xian, Executive Director of CCVC. The Cambodian side was represented by Dr.Korm Ribaun, Secretary-General of the Cambodian National Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and more than 20 participants.

Secretary Dong Gang delivered a speech on behalf of CCVC, welcoming all the leaders and guests who attended the opening ceremony, thanking people from all walks of life who cared, supported and helped the training, and putting forward hopes and requirements for all the teachers who participated in the training. Cambodian friends are welcome to study and live in CCVC when conditions such as epidemic prevention and control permit.

Dr. Seng Bunthoeun, Vice-Rector of National University of Management of Cambodia, as a participant in 2019, told about his study and life experience in CCVC. He said that he was deeply impressed by the advanced technology and rapid development of e-commerce in China during the training, and understood the huge potential of e-commerce development in Cambodia. In the new round of China-Cambodia cross-border digital trade training for senior managers, he hoped to train participants to earnestly learn China’s digital trade experience and technology and make contributions to Cambodia’s economic development.

Jiang Yan, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Chongqing Education Commission, pointed out that the joint training of talents has built a bridge of friendship for the people-to-people exchanges among countries along the Belt and Road, and provided a strong support for policy communication, facility connectivity, unimpeded trade and financial integration. The training of senior managers in cross-border digital trade between China and Cambodia undertaken by Chongqing Creation Vocational College is of great significance. She also stressed that the college attaches great importance to it and carefully organizes it, and the training mission will be a complete success.

Dr. Korm Ribaun, Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, on behalf of Ly Thuch, Senior Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, expressed his gratitude to the Chongqing Municipal Government and the Municipal Education Commission. He stressed that China and Cambodia should deepen our comprehensive strategic partnership, strengthen political, economic, security, cultural and people-to-people exchanges and promote greater development of bilateral relations. He expressed his sincere thanks to Chongqing Creation Vocational College for organizing the training and hoped that the training will achieve the expected results.

About 50 people, including school leaders of Chongqing Creation Vocational College and heads of some functional departments, heads of international offices of sister universities of vocational education base in western Chongqing and representatives of cooperative enterprises, attended the opening ceremony.

This training is divided into two stages: online and offline. The first stage is online teaching, which lasts for one month. It mainly carries out the learning and training of e-commerce skills such as product editing, publishing, optimization and after-sales based on EBay platform, as well as the learning, understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. The second stage is offline learning, which will be mainly through visiting excellent e-commerce enterprises, learning the latest e-commerce technology, and on-site operation under the guidance of teachers. According to the epidemic prevention and control situation, Cambodian trainees will be arranged to come to the mountain city of Chongqing.

In order to help the trainees better understand the training content, Chongqing Creation Vocational College has arranged professional in-class translators.

After the opening ceremony, Professor Shao Kuide, the director of CCVC’s library gave a lecture on “Overview Of Chinese Culture”.
